This update focuses on the development of the valley map, cutscene blocking, and NSFW animation progress.

Valley Map Development:

  • The valley is the central location for the game’s plot, featuring the cave base and fort construction site.
  • The valley transitions from tranquil to dangerous, with action scenes occurring there.
  • A time/calendar system affects the map’s appearance, with day and night cycles impacting visuals.
  • Fog effects, post-processing (PP) volumes, and detailed flora are used to enhance the valley’s atmosphere.
  • Concept art is being used to direct the visual style of the valley.

Cutscene Blocking:

  • Cutscene blocking is progressing, with cave scenes completed and fort sequences underway.
  • Efforts are made to differentiate cutscenes through time of day, weather, and character movement variations.
  • More cutscene previews will be shared later in the year.

NSFW Animation:

  • Two new NSFW artists have joined the team to create animations.
  • Galmine’s scenes will be completed first, followed by Sheela and Trel.
  • Trel’s spider legs pose unique animation challenges and opportunities.
  • Uncensored previews are available on the Discord server.

Upcoming Plans:

  • Next week’s update will showcase the cave, the player’s first home base.
  • Cutscene previews with VFX will be shared.
  • A recut trailer, removing sensitive content, will be released to avoid age restrictions on YouTube.
